New Beginnings, Deep Apologies

26 August 2009

So, I enter the mystical world of blogging once again. I cleaned my slate and deleted all of my previous posts. I even went as far as to change the layout. And with this whole blogging gig, I have a little bit of unfinished business that deserves an apology, so here it is:

Dear Faithful Followers,
(or creepers; it is really all a matter of personal preference)
I am deeply saddened that it has come to this. I have failed each and every one of you and in this moment I would like to send a message (or a plead really) begging for your precious forgiveness to each of you. I abandoned this blog with no notice what-so-ever and I know most of you were hurt by this careless and immature action on my part. I am sorry and apologize for my actions. I do hope that just maybe (oh, just maybe) that someone will please find the heart to pardon my careless conduct and behavior.
And to you Lauren P., how could I have wronged you. As I was browsing through all the comments on my blog (prior to deleting them, of course) and I noticed a comment of yours for me to remark on a quote by C.S. Lewis. And what I did was terrible, I ignored you and your small comment. Honestly, what harm could have come from doing one little thing you asked of me. How infantile of me! I would just like to take a moment to apologize to from the deepest crevasses of my soul, heart, fiber, and being, Oh, would you please not punish me for such dreadful actions. In order to pay it back to you, I have declared Wednesday "C.S. Lewis Quote Wednesday" for the following few weeks. Both you and I know how difficult of a commitment this shall be for me. To say the least, blogging on a consistent basis is a rather arduous task for me. But I owe it to you! And I hope this task will be a token of my apologizes for you.
Thank you all for your treasured and cherished time,
Brian

As promised:

"You don't have a soul. You are a soul. You have a body."
— C.S. Lewis

I personally think this quote is a great one. Although legally YOU are counted by your physical body or by some societies by your head! (well maybe it is only cows and slaves, but you know what I mean and I do not intend on offending heifers and slaves... I LOVE both of you groups immensely! Where would we be without beef?!)
Anyhow, in the large scheme of things this is just a sign that people in large groups aren't considered as individual souls and beings but instead as physical objects. I think this is redonkulous! I actually did my AP Psych final paper on this last year, people in groups lose their sense of individualitty and this actually affects the individuals and how they react to certain scenarios and incidents. But now we are getting a little far from the quote.
But what I think this is saying is that people shouldn't measure themselves as being a body because you really aren't a body. What I mean by this is that you are really only renting or borrowing your body while you are alive on Earth. When you die, and you will, you will leave your body. YOU and YOUR BODY are two separate entities.

Tell me what you think! LEAVE A COMMENT!

TOOK YOU LONG ENOUGH.

And I still love that you grouped the cows and the slaves. HAH.

OHHH Brian Morris.
You make me laugh.

WELCOME BACK!

Yes, you are forgiven, as you ended up following through in the end :)

I was terribly scarred for a few weeks...then I got over it and decided to move on with life. haha

I'm glad you're back, and I hope to see more blogging in the future!!

Brian, you are a young man with diverse interests. You should give yourself some leeway! I enjoy reading.....always!
